Police, PDEA nab newly identified 'drug pusher' in NegOr town

DUMAGUETE CITY – Police operatives have arrested an alleged newly-identified drug pusher during an anti-illegal drugs operation in Bacong, Negros Oriental early Wednesday.

A report from the Negros Oriental Provincial Police Office (NOPPO) identified the suspect as Junrey Garovillo Tindoc, 27, single, and a resident of Barangay Bagacay here.

Municipal Drug Enforcement Unit (MDEU) personnel of the Bacong Police Station, along with members of the provincial office of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA), arrested Tindoc in a buy-bust operation at 2:30 a.m. after he allegedly sold suspected shabu to an undercover operative.

Recovered from him were three elongated transparent plastic sachets containing white crystalline substance believed to be shabu, a mobile phone, and a PHP1,000.00 bill used in the buy-bust transaction.

The suspect is now detained, facing charges for violation of Sec. 5, Article II of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. (PNA)
