Allianz PNB Life to support PH athletes in ASEAN Para Games

MANILA — Allianz PNB Life expressed its support for the Philippine para obstacle course racing team for the 2020 ASEAN Para Games by becoming its official life insurance partner.

Allianz PNB Life signed a memorandum of understanding with the Pilipinas Obstacle Sports Federation and the Philippine Paralympic Committee to become the Philippine para-OCR team's major backer on Saturday at the Rizal Park Hotel.

This means the national team, consisting of Ramon Anievas, Jeferson Biteng, Nigel Archer, Jerald Polintan, Angel Torres, Ariel Zinampan, Aga Casidsid, and Bert Natividad, will be assured of life and medical insurance as well as financial support in their training for the inaugural staging of the para-OCR event at the ASEAN Para Games, which for now is a demonstration event.

“Allianz has always believed in creating equal opportunities and encouraging people to meet challenges. This is why we have always been supportive of OCR in the Philippines. Entering into an agreement with the POSF furthers our support for these ideals,” Allianz Philippines president and CEO Alexander Grenz said.

Allianz is no stranger to the Paralympic scene as it has been partnering with the International Paralympic Committee since 2006. (PNA)
