Rainy Saturday due to LPA

MANILA -- Cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms will reign over Palawan, Western Visayas, Caraga, Davao, Northern Mindanao, and the Zamboanga Peninsula regions due to the presence of a low pressure area (LPA), according to the weather forecast released on Saturday morning.

At 3 a.m., the LPA was estimated at 260 km. north-northwest of Zamboanga City, Zamboanga del Sur, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) reported.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country will be having partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated showers due to localized thunderstorms.

Luzon will have light to moderate winds blowing southwest while light to moderate south to southwest winds will be experienced in the Visayas and Mindanao.

Coastal waters in all areas will be slight to moderate.

Pagasa warned of possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms. (PNA)
