Northern Samar LTO assures prompt delivery of frontline services

CATARMAN, Northern Samar, October 15 (PIA)-- The Land Transportation District Office in Northern through its Senior Transportation and Regulations Officer Mr. Roger Leaño assures the public of its fast and prompt delivery of frontline services as expected of a government agency.

This he said during the radio program “Huruhimangraw sa Panginudto,” hosted by PIA at radio station DYSM.

“We have three primary functions, first is issuance of licenses, second is the registration of motor vehicles and third is law enforcement,” informed Leaño.

The only cause of delay, he said, is the slow internet connection and power interruptions.

Leaño explained further the speedy process of acquiring driver’s license and renewal of motor vehicles.

He sternly warned those holding students permit, to be cautious and make sure they are accompanied by a person with a professional or non-professional driver’s license when driving, hence, after few months they can easily acquire  a non-professional driver’s license once they reach the required age, which is 18 and above.

He said, in 2018 they were able to serve 12,804 renewal of motor registration and 9,626 from January to August this year. (NBQ/ADiaz/PIA-Northern Samar)
