Taguig sets mandatory reporting protocol for COVID-19 cases

PARAÑAQUE CITY, July 21 (PIA) -- The City Government of Taguig under the Taguig Safe City Task Force (TSCTF) issued an guidelines on the mandatory protocol in reporting of COVID-19 cases in the city.  

The guidelines require all public and private establishments are required to have at least oen Designated Safety Officer (DSO) to ensure the proper implementation of the city’s health protocols.  

COVID-19 city concerns will be reported by the DSO to the local government unit’s hotline.  

The DSO must follow these steps once it has been established that the person is positive with COVID-19: 1) Call the COVID-19 Hotline 2) Isolate the person positive with COVID-19 3) Help with information gathering for contact tracing 4) Isolate the identified close contacts 5) Ensure the sanitation of the premises 6) Ensure that information is shared responsibly to prevent unnecessary public panic. 

Taguig residents living outside of villages and subdivisions may contact the city’s COVID-19 hotline directly. 

Anyone found in violation of the safety and health protocol will be penalized accordingly. Violators may face a fine of not less than Php 20,000 or more, and imprisonment. (Taguig PIO/PIA-NCR)
