2 weather systems to bring scattered rains over parts of PH

MANILA – Two weather systems will bring scattered rain showers over some parts of the country, a weather specialist said on Monday.

The southwest monsoon affecting the western section of Luzon and the intertropical convergence zone (ITCZ) affecting Mindanao will bring cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms over the province of Palawan, the regions of Caraga and Davao.

Aldczar Aurelio of the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said the rest of the country will have fair weather with isolated rain showers due to localized thunderstorms.

Aurelio added that PAGASA has not monitored any new low pressure area (LPA) that may affect the country.

Meanwhile, moderate winds and moderate seas will prevail over extreme Northern Luzon.

Elsewhere, winds will be light to moderate with slight to moderate seas, PAGASA said. (PNA)
