Caloocan Mayor Malapitan shares latest ECQ 'ayuda' reminders for claimants

CALOOCAN CITY, April 7 (PIA) -- Caloocan City Mayor Oca Malapitan today shared some reminders on how to get the latest "ayuda" or cash assistance from the National Government amid the Enhanced Community Quarantine (ECQ).
"Here is the schedule for tomorrow, April 8, 2021, of the distribution of cash assistance from the national government," Malapitan said in his Facebook post.
Mayor Oca said before going to the venue, qualified beneficiaries should receive a "text message" from the City Government, including the reference number and schedule when to claim the aid.
"Because of the large population of Caloocan and the social distancing we are implementing, we will only accommodate 1,500 beneficiaries per venue," he said.
"If among the qualified beneficiary residents of barangays on schedule, just wait for the text from City Government. You may be scheduled for tomorrow or the following payout days," he added.
Based on the guidelines from the National Government, each qualified individual will receive P1, 000 or up to P4, 000 per family.
Among the qualified recipients inlcude:
- Beneficiaries of Social Amelioration Program (SAP) under the Bayanihan Act 1 and additional beneficiaries of emergency subsidy Under Section 4f(3) of Bayanihan Act 2.
- SAP waitlisted beneficiaries
As a clarification, Malapitan said the list of qualified individuals who will receive aid is from the guidelines of the National Government sent to the city through the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD).
He also reminded them to:
- Bring a valid ID, own ballpen, face mask and face shield.
- Strictly follow social distancing and other health protocols in all payout sites.
