National Planetarium to hold free webinar in celebration of Global Astronomy Month

PASIG CITY, April 21 (PIA) – In celebration of Global Astronomy Month this April, the National Planetarium will hold a free online seminar on the Importance of the Night Sky on Astronomy and Ethnoastronomy in the Philippines.

The free webinar will be held on April 24, 2021 (Saturday), from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. via Zoom and Facebook Live https://www.facebook.com/nationalmuseumofthephilippines.

Global Astronomy Month every April is the world's largest global celebration of astronomy, which offers a unique demonstration of the power of the night sky to bring people together from around the world.

To recall, the National Planetarium in Manila is a 16-metre dome located in Rizal Park between the Japanese Garden and Chinese Garden on Padre Burgos Avenue in the central district of Ermita.

It is one of the four national museums dotting the National Museum Complex, managed by the National Museum of the Philippines.

The other three are the National Museum of Natural History, the National Museum of Fine Arts, and the National Museum of Anthropology. (PIA NCR)
