Meanwhile, Mayor Romeo Pulmones  said it has been a tradition of the Pagadianons to thank God through patron saint Sr. Sto. Nino for all his abundant blessings.

“The annual Pasalamat festival is a reminder to all Catholic faithful to thank God for the good harvest and for the abundant blessings that he gave us,” Pulmones said.

Every year, the religious festival usually draws thousands of people from neighboring provinces and cities.

Pulmones proudly said that it is only Pagadian that celebrates the feast of Sr. Sto. Nino which coincides with the celebration of the popular Sinulog festival in Cebu City on the third Sunday of January.

He thanked the performers, coaches, trainors and teachers for their active participation during the event.

The culmination program was highlighted by ten-minute fireworks display. (ALT/GCC/PIA-Zamboanga del Sur)
