ZAMBOECOZONE now ISO 9001:2015 certified

ZAMBOANGA CITY, Feb. 9 (PIA) -- As a result of years of preparation and fine tuning their systems, the Zamboanga City Special Economic Zone Authority attained its ISO 9001:2015 Certification last Monday (February 5).

ZAMBOECOZONE elevated its status by becoming a world-class economic zone through the awarding of the certification by the TUV NORD Group, a global technical service provider and ISO-certifying body.

“I feel the very sweet satisfaction of achieving this status after much hard work. We have each of us, every member of our organization, to really thank for this feat,” chairperson and administrator Christopher Lawrence Arnuco said

ZAMBOECOZONE underwent  fine-tuning of its systems and processes last April 24-28, 2017 conducted by the Development Academy of the Philippines (DAP), aligning the processes in accordance to the ISO 9001: 2015 Standards.

Having obtained the ISO 9001:2015 Certification, ZAMBOECOZONE commits to continue to provide quality services to its clients and the public, upholding world class standards.

Chairman Arnuco encourages every personnel to continue to bring transformative development towards an effective, efficient, and highly credible workplace as the  institution also celebrates another milestone on the same month  on the occassion of its 24th anniversary as an Economic Zone.

“I enjoin you to continue the positive acts of dreaming big and doing greater things towards our common aspiration,” he said.

The International Organization for Standardization or ISO 9001:2015 is the standard that provides the foundation and framework of a world-class principle of quality management system (QMS). It ensures that organizations uphold the seven principles of quality management which are customer focus, leadership, engagement of people, process approach, improvement, evidence-based decision making, and relationship management.
