Bacolod hosts investment seminar

NEGROS OCCIDENTAL, March 13 (PIA) -- Entrepreneurs, students, Liga ng mga Barangay representatives, and women’s group gathered for an investment seminar held recently as part of Bacolod City’s Gender and Development (GAD) activity.
 
The event was led by the Bacolod Business Development and Promotions Office – Investment Promotions Unit, in partnership with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).
 
The conduct of the seminar sought to highlight the Investment Promotions Unit’s thrust of making accessible capacity-building activities dedicated to investors and entrepreneurs.
 
Topics discussed include the points on how to avoid falling into a trap of an investment scam and the SEC Company Registration System (CRS).
 
The activity was designed to include the orientation on CRS system for registering their business entities as part of its objectives to boost the economy by retaining, intensifying, attracting and diversifying investments in Bacolod City.
 
A press statement from the city government said that there will be another schedule of seminars and trainings to accommodate other interested participants. (LTP/LML-PIA6 Negros Occidental)
