Ifugao Guv turns over PLGU’s properties to new officials
LAGAWE, Ifugao, June 27 (PIA) - - Ensuring smooth local governance transition for continued service to the people, the outgoing administration formally turned-over the properties, assets and documents of the provincial local government unit (PLGU) to incoming elected officials in a ceremony held at the Sangguniang Panlalawigan hall here on June 25.
Out-going Governor Pedro Mayam-o led the turn-over of the PLGU’s properties, assets and documents including the key of responsibilities to Governor-elect Jerry Dalipog.
Prior to the formal turn-over, the department heads oriented the incoming officials of local governance report and the things to be turned-over. The activity culminated with the actual testing and checking of some of the turned-over vehicles and heavy equipment of the PLGU.
Mayam-o congratulated the incoming officials and hopes for their success in leading the province so that the people of Ifugao will be happier and their economic life will be improved under their stead. He stressed that he may be leaving the capitol but he is just around always ready to support for the betterment of Ifugao and its people. Mayam-o ran for the Lone District of Ifugao seat but lost.
Dalipog, outgoing mayor of Banaue town, assured to continue the implementation of worthy programs and projects started under Mayam-o, as he sought the cooperation of everyone for the progress of the province.
The new set of provincial officials will be officially sworn into office on Friday, June 28. (JDP/MBL- PIA CAR, Ifugao)
