DILG Camiguin gears up monitoring functionality

CAMIGUIN, Aug. 27 (PIA)--To present salient features of the Department of the Interior and Local Government’s (DILG) Memorandum Circular on 2018 Anti-Drug Abuse Council (ADAC) Performance Audit, DILG Camiguin conducted a provincial roll-out orientation, gearing up monitoring of its functionality.

This is due to the changes of the modes of verification (MOVs) required for submission per indicator pillar, in which local government unit ADAC Focal Persons are required to upload the necessary MOVs to the system for evaluation and assessment by the Audit Provincial Team (APT).

Held August 8 at DILG Camiguin Provincial Office, the workshop is in preparation to the Performance Audit of ADACs in the Provincial, and Municipal levels covering CY 2018 scheduled in the 3rd-4th week of August.

As per said Memo Circular, ADAC Performance Audit aims to: (1) assess the functionality and effectiveness of local ADACs based on existing issuances and policies, (2) determine ADAC-initiated or ADAC-endorsed innovations and best practices at all levels, and (3) create a platform for evaluation, assessment and sharing of best practices between ADACs and/or ADAC member agencies at their respective levels.

This will then be attained through the ADAC-Functionality Monitoring System (ADAC-FMS), a subsystem of the Integrated Drug Monitoring and Reporting Information System (IDMRIS).

Participants of the workshop are the Provincial and Municipal Anti-Drug Abuse Councils focal person and Municipal Local Government Operations Officers (MLGOOs). Further, LGOO II Jeffrey Caangay acted as the resource speaker during the activity.

The activity also had plenary sessions with visual presentation showing the whole IDMRIS, as well as a hands-on workshop on ADAC-FMS. (DILG10/PIA10)
