Southwest monsoon brings scattered rains Friday

MANILA -- Scattered rain showers in most of Luzon will prevail Friday due to the southwest monsoon (habagat).

The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said in its 4 a.m. weather forecast that the affected areas include Metro Manila, the regions of Ilocos, Cordillera, Cagayan Valley, Central Luzon, Region IV-A (Calabarzon), and the provinces of Marinduque, Mindoro and Romblon.

The rest of the country will experience isolated rain showers due to localized thunderstorms.

Temperature in Metro Manila ranges from 25-30 degrees Celsius, Tuguegarao City 26-32 degrees Celsius; Baguio City 17-21 degrees Celsius; Metro Cebu 26-31 degrees Celsius; and Metro Davao 25-33 degrees Celsius. (PNA)
