According to Ilocos Norte Tourism Office (INTO), this is the first time the cruise ship landed in Ilocos.

“Kahit na galing pa silang Ilocos Sur, namasyal pa rin sila sa ating probinsiya,” Xavier Ruiz, INTO operations officer, said.

The cruise ship travels around Hong Kong, Japan and Philippines, wherein Ilocos and Subic are included in the package.

Moreover, the passengers are multinational coming from Australia, United States, Canada, China and South Africa.

“It’s my first time here in Ilocos Norte and the people here are so welcoming. It’s beautiful here,” Emily Airey, an Australian passenger of the cruise ship, remarked.

The Royal Carribbean International is a cruise line brand founded in Norway and based in Miami, Florida, United States.

The Spectrum of the Seas will be having regular docking in Ilocos for the next months.
