CITY OF ILAGAN, Isabela, April 29 (PIA) – One of the village chiefs in this city has decided to use his accumulated honoraria from July 2018 to April 2020 to purchase rice for his constituents as aid during the implementation of the Enhanced Community Quarantine (ECQ).

Alinguigan 2nd Barangay Captain Heherson "Sonny" Rivero said at least 100 cavans of rice were purchased out from his honoraria and are already repacked by volunteers from his barangays for distribution to 1,060 families

Rivero said although the city government has been continuously supplying enough food packs to all Ilagueños including his barangay, it is still needed to give additional foods especially rice to his constituents as he observed that they are obeying the stay at home order of the city government.

The city has recorded no COVID – 19 case since the government ordered the Enhanced Community Quarantine due to COVID – 19 threat. (BME/MGE – PIA-2/Isabela)
