U. S. Embassy PH cancels visa interviews until May 31 due to ECQ

PASIG CITY, April 27 (PIA) – The United States Embassy in the Philippines announced the cancellation of all immigrant and non-immigrant visa interviews scheduled through May 31, 2020.

According to the U.S. Embassy, the cancellation of visa interviews is due to the extension of the enhanced community quarantine to reduce the spread of COVID-19.

“After the enhanced community quarantine is lifted in Metro Manila, all affected applicants should reschedule their visa interviews through the Embassy call center by phone at (+632) 7792-8988 and (+632) 8548-8223, or through the online appointment system at ustraveldocs.com/ph.”

The embassy added that there is no fee to change an appointment and visa application fees are valid for one year in the country where the fee was paid.

Earlier, the embassy cancelled visa interviews from April 8 until May 4.

Meanwhile, the embassy announced that it will resume routine visa services as soon as possible but are unable to provide a specific date at this time. (US Embassy in the Philippines/PIA-NCR)
