LTFRB-XI to open special routes for vans, PUJs in Magsaysay town

MAGSAYSAY, Davao del Sur, July 23 – The Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board XI will be opening special routes for passenger vans and jeepneys plying Magsaysay to Digos City and vice versa.

In a meeting with Mayor Arthur Davin on Thursday (July 23), LTFRB-XI Planning Officer Rolando Paalisbo said a special permit will be given to at least five (5) utility vans to ply from Barangay Tacul to Digos City, provided that pick-up point will only be in Bansalan town.

Paalisbo said jeepneys may also be given special permit from Magsaysay Public Terminal to Digos City.

"In times of the COVID-19 pandemic, the LTRFB is making transportation accessible to the riding public for essential purposes, he said.

Davin said the plan is a welcome development to help the drivers who became jobless for months now. (Magsaysay LGU/Anthony Allada)
