DTI-Pangasinan to hold tax and business forum for MSMEs

LINGAYEN, Pangasinan, Mar. 8 (PIA) -- The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), in partnership with DZRD Sonshine Radio Dagupan, will conduct a Tax and Business Forum as its continuing support to develop and assist the micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in Pangasinan.

The forum is scheduled on April 3, 2019 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Sison Auditorium in this town.

Natalia Dalaten, officer-in-charge provincial director of DTI-Pangasinan, said the MSMEs are considered as one of the backbones of the economy since almost or about 90 percent of the DTI-registered firms are MSMEs with a capitalization of below P30 million.

Dalaten said the forum will address the concerns of the MSMEs regarding business and tax compliance as the topics to be discussed will focus on simple ways of intelligent tax report, proper ways of handling BIR audit investigation, and understanding the complete process of bookkeeping.

“With the help of the tax expert and consultant, Ms. Ria Sablon, president of the Tax Alliance of the Philippines, I foresee a better compliance on business taxation and licensing,” she told the Philippine Information Agency as she enjoined MSMEs to avail this one of a kind learning opportunity.

For more details about the forum, interested individuals or MSMEs are advised to visit the DTI-Pangasinan office at the 2ndFloor of Star Building in Arellano Street, Dagupan City or call telephone numbers (075) 515-3183 or 529-6177 or send at e-mail at dzrd981_dagupan@yahoo.com.ph.
