DAVAO CITY – Over 200 cops in Davao Region cast votes as of 12 noon on Tuesday during the conduct of the local absentee voting at Camp Sgt. Quintin Merecido here.

Among those who cast their votes were Police Regional Office (PRO)-11 Director, Brig. General Marcelo Morales.

Police Major Jason Baria, PRO-11 spokesperson, said that out of 598 police personnel in Region 11 who applied for absentee voting, only 485 were approved because some of them have not voted for three consecutive years.

As of 11:45 a. m today, Baria said, a total of 228 personnel have already cast their votes.

Morales said he has encouraged police personnel to avail of the absentee voting to exercise their right of suffrage.
