SMB forces Game 7 vs. Magnolia in PBA PH Cup Finals

MANILA -- San Miguel Beermen forced a seventh game in the PBA Philippine Cup Finals after romping over Magnolia Hotshots, 98-86, in Game 6 at the Smart Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City on Sunday night.

Up by as much as 21 in first half only to see their lead drop to six after the third quarter, the Beermen used a 14-1 run to start the fourth quarter to keep the Hotshots at bay for good.

Beerman Junemar Fajardo made 23 points on 10-of-14 shooting, 18 rebounds, two assists, two blocks, and one steal for SMB.

Marcio Lassiter, in his best game so far in the series, added 20 points, seven rebounds, three assists, and two steals.

Jio Jalalon made 17 points, four rebounds, and eight assists for Magnolia, which failed to dethrone SMB on the first try.

The decider will be played on Wednesday night at the same venue. (PNA)
