Rains over Mindanao due to LPA Friday

MANILA -- Parts of Mindanao will experience rains on Friday due to a low pressure area (LPA).

In its 4 a.m. weather bulletin, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said the LPA was spotted 40 kilometers east of Zamboanga City, Zamboanga del Sur.

Zamboanga Peninsula, Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao, Northern Mindanao and Soccsksargen will have cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms caused by the LPA.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country will be partly cloudy or cloudy with isolated rainshowers due to localized thunderstorms. Possible flashfloods or landslides can be caused by severe thunderstorms.

Metro Manila temperature ranges from 25-34 degrees Celsius; Tuguegarao City 25-34 degrees Celsius; Baguio City 17-26 degrees Celsius; SBMA 29-32 degrees Celsius; Lipa City 24-35 derees Celsius; Metro Cebu 24-33 degrees Celsius; and Metro Davao 25-33 degrees Celsius. (PNA)
