USL is Top 6 best school nationwide in Oct 2019 Geodetic Eng’g board exam

TUGUEGARAO CITY, Cagayan, Oct. 31 (PIA) – A catholic educational institution in this city ranked no. 6 nationwide in the recently concluded October 2019 Geodetic Engineer Licensure Examination.

The University of Saint Louis – Tuguegarao (USL) recorded an impressive rating of 83.33 percent which is higher than the national passing rate of 54.85 percent producing 25 new geodetic engineers.

Other schools in the region that have successfully produced new geodetic engineers are Northeastern College in Santiago City with 16 passers and Nueva Vizcaya State University – Bayombong campus with 11 passers.

In a Facebook post, Engr. Esperanza Mallanao Celis, a passer from USL said, “Thank you mang, pang, nong and ate's sa tiwala. At thank you po sa mga kaibigang naniniwala sa aking kakayahan. Sa aming mga instructor, at sa mga ate at kuya naming engr. na laging nagbibigay ng words of wisdom, thank you po.”

The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) announced that 481 out of 877 passed the exam given by the Board of Geodetic Engineering in Manila and Cebu.

For the past year, USL has produced passers who placed number 1 nationwide in geodetic engineering board exam in the name of Engr. Sonny Mateo ( 2011 ), Engr. Nazario Galang ( 1999 ) and Engr. Fernando Verbo ( 1993 ). (MDCT/PIA-2)
