SK head pursues aid for ECQ-affected villagers

BAMBANG, Nueva Vizcaya April 27(PIA) – Continuing relief activities will be done by the Sangguniang Kabataan of barangay Banggot here to help poor villagers in coping up with the Enhanced Community Quarantine (ECQ) in their communities.

Jeanie Alexandra Felipe, SK president of barangay Banggot, said they will re-align their savongs from 2014 to 2018 to fund their relief assistance programs and activities due to the adverse effects of the COVID-19 pandemic.

“We will continue to provide weekly assistance to our fellow villagers until April 30 so that they will be able to cope up with the ECQ situation until April 30,” she said.

Felipe also bared that P15,000 have been set aside to help 5 pregnant mothers who are due for delivery this month.

The fund, she said will be spent for the immediate needs of the pregnant mothers and their babies.  

She also added that their 2019 savings will also be used for various relief services and activities.

“We are also expecting our 2020 budget which can  also be used for disaster mitigation activities and programs,” Felipe said. (ALM/BME/PIA 2-Nueva Vizcaya)
