Public school students in Manila to receive food packs, hygiene kits

CALOOCAN CITY, May 23 (PIA)—Some 275,000 public school students from Kinder to Grade 12 in Manila will receive food packs and hygiene kits from the city government starting next week, Mayor Francisco “Isko Moreno” Domagoso announced on Thursday night.

The mayor made the announcement following a video conference with Manila City Schools Division Superintendent Dr. Maria Magdalena Lim, Division of City Schools Property Chief Roland Soriano, and 107 school principals.

"Sa tulong ng inyong mga principal ay idedeliver namin sa inyong kanya-kanyang mga barangay," Domagoso said.

Domagoso instructed school principals to come up with a students database of their which the city government will utilize to track its distribution.

The mayor said, for easier and systematic distribution, school principals must arrange their databases based on the barangays where their students reside.

Principals from 72 public elementary schools and 35 public high schools are expected to submit their sorted databases by Tuesday next week. Manila PIO/PIA-NCR)
