SAP distribution in Manila, 93% complete as of May 9

CALOOCAN CITY, May 10, (PIA) -- The completion rate of the Social Amelioration Program (SAP) Distribution in the City of Manila is 93%, a day before the deadline expires.

Manila City Mayor Francisco "Isko Moreno" Domagoso said that as of 7:00 am of Saturday, May 9, a total of 171,961 families have already received their financial assistance from the government.

"We are now on 93 percent. So more of less, may awa ang diyos we will reach and meet the deadline of the distribution of SAP without violating the standard policy," Domagoso said.

The Mayor assured the public that physical distancing is being observed during the distribution of the P8,000 cash assistance to the public.

Domagoso said that a total of 185,000 families will receive the SAP assistance from the national government, through the DSWD. (Manila PIO/PIA-NCR)
