64 MSMEs receive livelihood kits from DTI in Catanduanes

 

 

VIRAC, Catanduanes (PIA) - As part of its Livelihood Seeding Program - Negosyo Serbisyo sa Barangay (LSP-NSB) and Pangkabuhayan sa Pagbangon at Ginhawa (PPG) Program, the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) here handed livelihood kits to 64 micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) from the towns of Bato and Pandan last February 18.

The kits contain items that suit the nature of their businesses. According to DTI Catanduanes Director Maria Belma Q. Escueta, of the total number of beneficiaries, 27 were from Bato while 37 were from Pandan.

The beneficiaries were existing business owners who were able to participate during the series of NSB program last year in various barangays of the recipient towns.

Escueta reminded the beneficiaries to be steadfast in running their businesses amid the different challenges confronting them which is one of the major objectives of the NSB program implementation nationwide.

She also thanked participating BDC members, Punong Barangay and LGU representatives who showed their full support during the activity.

Present during the awarding were representatives of DTI Catanduanes and of the Local Government Units (LGUs) who expressed their gratitude in behalf of their consituents. (PIA5/ Catanduanes)
