"As a result of our collective efforts, yet again, we have been hailed for gaining the highest approval rating among the government offices in the executive branch in the latest Pulse Asia Ulat ng Bayan Nationwide Survey wherein the department garnered a 78 percent approval rating," DSWD-10 Regional Director Mari-Flor A. Dollaga said.
Among the recognized partners of DSWD-10 include Ramon Ortego of the Land Bank of the Philippines, who aided the department's provision of Unconditional Cash Transfer (UCT) cash cards for senior citizens; Dr. Lorraine Nery of CDO City Health Office for facilitating swab tests and provision of health certificates of DSWD staff;

"It is during these times wherein we are tested but also needed the most; to go beyond extra miles, to serve each and every Filipino, especially the poor and the oppressed sectors, and those who are gravely affected by the pandemic. We shifted to the new normal, and our convergence made me realize that even the most unexpected COVID-19 cannot hinder us to perform our duties with competence," Dollaga said.
Accepting the award, Agabe said it is a collective mandate as public servants to serve the people especially in the time of pandemic.
“Each role we have played is an effort to make a difference and give positive impact to the lives of the people we serve. And central to our efforts is ensuring that the most vulnerable are first in line to receive our services,” Agabe added. (RTP/PIA10)
