Dgte records 3 new cases
DUMAGUETE CITY, April 7 (PIA) -- Dumaguete City has reported that the number of active COVID-19 cases in the city rose to 36 following the confirmation of three additional cases with no recoveries yesterday.
The city’s inter-agency task force against COVID-19 presented three new cases which include a 49-year-old salesman from Brgy. Bajumpandan with a history of travel to the province of Siquijor, and the 32-year-old female call center agent and her 34-year-old partner, who is a delivery man, both residents of Brgy. Buรฑao and exhibited symptoms of influenza-like illness.
From Jan. 30, 2020 to April 6, 2021 the city now has 36 active COVID-19 cases, 479 recoveries, and 30 deaths.
Meanwhile, six known close contacts of the COVID-19 case from Brgy. Bajumpandan are quarantined and will undergo RT-PCR swab tests.
It was also reported that none of the 186 persons under monitoring seen and examined by the city health workers manifested symptoms of influenza-like illness while under quarantine. (jct/PIA7 Negros Oriental)
